The tower and ascension of the tower

The tower of the Dreikönigskirche, which was only added to the nave in the time between 1853 and 1857, is about 87.5 metres high. The outer facade of the tower is decorated with sculptures like the four evangelists and the three holy kings.

Climbing the tower you pass the three bells. The As major peal for three voices was destroyed on 13th February in 1945 and newly casted in Apolda in 1977, using the salvaged bronze from the original bells.

From the observation platform, you have a wonderful view of the historic old town, the vineyards in Radebeul, the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the Eastern Oar Mountains.
