Second Floor / Festival Hall

On the second floor of the House of the Church you find our Festival Hall and our Small Hall. They provide the perfect conditions for a successful conference.

The two rooms can be joined together or separated from each other. They are fitted with the adequate conference technology, have day light and can be air-conditioned in all seasons.

Sound technology for these rooms is provided through a studio (third floor).
With theatre style seating, 330 participants can find room in the Festival Hall and 90 guests in the Small Hall. (There is additional room for 20 people on the gallery – third floor.)

Different seating arrangements, e.g. for banquets and receptions, are possible in both rooms. The Festival Hall has a built-in platform comprising three steps.

Depending on the character of your event, the rooms can also be converted to exhibition halls. The vestibule of the Festival Hall can be transformed into a cafeteria.
The western front wall of the Festival Hall was designed by Werner Juza (* 1924, Wachau near Dresden) as a continuous wall painting with the theme “reconciliation”.
On 27th October in 1990, our Festival Hall hosted the constitutional meeting of the Saxon Parliament, who continued to hold their monthly plenary sessions here in our house for three years.
